We make chocolate. Right here in NZ, from rare and fine cocoa
beans sourced nearby in the South Pacific Islands.
Eight years ago we had an idea to make a truly local bean to bar chocolate from the South Pacific.
This was well before cocoa was available ‘off the shelf’ in New Zealand.
Our research lead us to the cocoa growing belt around the Equator and the cocoa plantations closest to home –
and one particularly special plantation run by the Va’ai family in Samoa.
And so began this rewarding adventure of exploration, collaboration, cocoa harvests,
three kids, renovations and building some intriguing and unique chocolate making gadgetry.
Our small scale factory is up and running, and we will soon be ready to take orders.
